Locked up by her smile,
but tied by my own hand.
Trapped within her eyes,
barricaded in my mind.

My heart cries out,
my soul screams to up above.
My mind is shot and set ablaze
by this never-quenching love

This mark I draw upon my arm,
a brand, a seal on my heart
and I live in fear to tell her
lest our friendship draw apart.

I'd draw my hands together
and go down on my knees.
begging her to love me
crying "baby, please!"

My heart cries out for release
my soul keeps it inside.
every time she asks if I'm okay
I cringe and know I've lied

My heart cries out,
my soul screams to up above.
My mind is shot and set ablaze
by this never-quenching love

This mark I draw upon my arm,
a brand, a seal upon my heart
and I live in fear to tell her
lest our friendship draw apart.
